Honor the people and events that have shaped LGBT history here in NYC, and who have impacted American history and culture. Starting at Christopher Park, join the expert team from the NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project. Walk with them and learn about the long-standing oppressive practices, which led to the 1969 Stonewall uprising and, before that, the 1966 “Sip-In” at Julius’ Bar. This hour-long walking tour of Greenwich Village will remind you why we march in celebration of Pride! The walking tour will take place rain or shine and ends at Julius’ on West 10th Street.
